Lion Corporation (President and Representative Director: Masayuki Takekori) will add a new feature, "Eye Age Prediction," to its web content "Smile Corneal Checker" on July 2, 2026 (Thu). The "Smile Corneal Checker" is provided by the eye drop brand "Smile," which offers various eye symptom solutions with prescription designs that consider eye health, and supports users in selecting eye drops by scoring the condition of their eyes.

In recent years, people's eyes have been exposed to harsh environments due to prolonged use of smartphones and computers, and dryness caused by air conditioning. This new feature has been added with the aim of increasing users' interest in their own eye health.

About the addition of the new "Eye Age Prediction" feature

"Smile Corneal Checker," launched in March 2024, is a web content that uses AI to check the condition of the cornea and tears in 10 seconds by simply taking a photo of the user's eyes with a smartphone, and then recommends suitable eye drops. Since its launch, the service has been well-received by many users, with the cumulative number of users exceeding 400,000. To further enhance users' interest in their own eye health, we have newly added the "Eye Age Prediction" feature.

[What is Eye Age?]

This refers to the "estimated visual age of the eyes" derived from AI analysis of image data of the eye's condition. It is calculated based on AI logic independently set by Lion. Please use it as a rough guideline.

<AI Eye Check>

In addition to the newly added "Eye Age," we also provide information on corneal and tear health, including the conventional "Total Eye Score" (displays the condition of the cornea and tears as a total score on a 5-level scale. A different AI logic is used for calculating eye age).

<Eye Drop Search>

Based on the check results, symptoms of concern, preference for coolness, and whether contact lenses are worn, we will recommend suitable eye drops from our "Smile" brand product lineup.
