Global business magazine Forbes JAPAN (Publisher: Linktide Inc., Publisher: Ken Ueno) will announce 'Forbes JAPAN 30 UNDER 30 2026,' selecting 'world-changing individuals under 30' on Tuesday, August 25th, this year.
'30 UNDER 30,' which started in 2011 with the US edition of 'Forbes' and has become one of its flagship projects, launched its Japanese version in 2018. Past recipients include entrepreneurs such as Yusuke Horie of Dely and Rina Akimoto of Tabechoku, as well as 2022 Beijing Olympic gold medalist Ayumu Hirano, Los Angeles Dodgers' Shohei Ohtani, girl group HANA, and pianist Kyohei Sorita, totaling approximately 330 young talents.
While some actors and athletes were already famous at the time of their selection, others were scientists quietly dedicated to their research or social entrepreneurs striving overseas. What these recipients, including those who were surprised by their selection, have in common is the potential to become global leaders in 10 years. '30 UNDER 30' is an award that shines a light on new talents who will drive the next era and encourages their activities.
As the project celebrates its 9th anniversary this year, we are seeking candidates to widely discover such talents. Please apply using the form on the special website by Sunday, May 31st. Both self-nominations and third-party nominations are welcome.
After recommendations from an advisory board active on the front lines of various fields, public applications, and editorial selection, this year's recipients will be announced in the October issue of 'Forbes JAPAN' (scheduled for release on August 25th) and on the special website. Interviews with the recipients will be published sequentially.
It's not just about fame. The achievements of young people with ability and ambition stimulate their generation, the next generation, and even older generations, creating a movement.
