IB Academy, an online IB tutoring service, systematizes its unique teaching methodology

(Location: Shibuya-ku, Tokyo; Representative Director: Shiori Yoshida) announced that its IB (International Baccalaureate) specialized online home tutoring service "IB Academy" is working to systematize its unique teaching methodology, consolidating the expertise of over 200 IB experienced instructors, in April 2026.

The IB curriculum differs significantly from regular school education, and a strategy of "what to learn, in what order, and how" is indispensable to achieve high scores within limited class time. IB Academy has systematized the shortest path to score improvement for each subject based on the instructional data accumulated since its founding. We are advancing the establishment of an environment where all instructors can provide high-quality instruction of the same standard.

The number of IB authorized and candidate schools in Japan reached 260 as of December 2025 (according to the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology IB Education Promotion Consortium), and the number of families choosing IB education is increasing year by year. On the other hand, the shortage of specialized tutors who can handle the high-difficulty tasks unique to IB remains serious, and the demand for high-quality learning support continues to rise.
