Pilot Experiment Conducted in Izumo City, Shimane Prefecture
Prior to this official launch, NAVER Cloud (NAVER Cloud Japan's Korean corporation) and Izumo City, Shimane Prefecture, signed a business agreement last July. With the cooperation of welfare providers in Izumo City, the effectiveness of the service was verified over approximately nine months, targeting about 70 seniors residing in the city. Izumo City is a super-aging society where over 30% of the population is 65 or older, facing a shortage of personnel to meet increasing care needs.
The verification results showed high user satisfaction, with comments such as "I felt encouraged when I was down," "I felt a sense of security as if I was being watched over," and "It increased opportunities for conversation, which was good." Care managers also reported positive feedback, stating, "We were able to quickly grasp users' falls and injuries and respond promptly," confirming its effectiveness in the field.
