LINE WORKS Corporation (Headquarters: Shibuya-ku, Tokyo; Representative Director and President: Takeshi Shimaoka), which provides the business communication tool 'LINE WORKS' and various AI products, is pleased to announce the release of 'LINE WORKS' version 4.5.
This major update to 'LINE WORKS' newly adds a 'Scheduled Sending' feature, enabling messages to be sent at a specified date and time.
This feature is available in internal member rooms for 'LINE WORKS' paid plans (Standard Plan and Advanced Plan).
**Background of Feature Addition**
Recently, as various industries are reviewing work styles, there has been growing interest in the 'right to disconnect,' which means not being obligated to respond to work-related communications such as emails or chats outside of working hours or on holidays.
Furthermore, with the diversification of business locations and work styles, working hours have also become diverse. From the perspective of reducing employees' psychological burden and mitigating legal/labor risks, consideration for the timing of business communications has become more important than ever.
On the other hand, such considerations can hinder smooth business communication, potentially leading to situations where 'necessary communications cannot be made in a timely manner' or 'communications are missed.' Therefore, the establishment of appropriate systems and rules as a company/organization is required.
In this update, based on this background and user requests, we have added the 'Scheduled Sending' feature, which enables smooth business communication while considering employees' and staff's working conditions and respecting the 'right to disconnect.'
LINE WORKS has traditionally offered an 'Easy Notification Settings' feature, which allows users to set notification on/off by time zone and day of the week, enabling recipients to mute notifications according to their working conditions. By utilizing this new feature, not only recipients but also senders can communicate with less burden.
**About the 'Scheduled Sending' Feature**
The 'Scheduled Sending' feature allows messages to be sent at a specified time (※) in 15-minute increments, ranging from a minimum of 15 minutes later to a maximum of 7 days later. Since it supports up to 10 scheduled messages per account, it can be used for mass announcements of deadlines or task reminder notifications.
※ Available times are 00, 15, 30, and 45 minutes past the hour.
**How to Use**
1. Tap 'Scheduled Sending' on the bottom sheet within the talk screen.
2. Enter your message.
3. Tap 'Set Date and Time' above the text input field.
4. Select the desired date and time for sending.
5. Tap the 'Send' button to complete the scheduled sending.
* You can check scheduled messages by tapping 'Check Reservations' above the text input field.
* Scheduled messages can be edited until the scheduled sending time.
