We are participating in April Dream, an initiative to share dreams on April 1st. This press release is the dream of Yuki Hirakawa of Lilliput Inc.

I have observed many parents.
Child-rearing that never goes according to plan.
Mothers who are at a loss and shed tears in front of children who don't listen.
Days where their hearts feel like they might break from the vast gap between ideals and reality.

"I got angry again today."
"Maybe I'm a failure as a parent."
"I can't discipline them properly."
I have also seen many parents blame themselves while saying things like that.
But I have always believed.
That each and every day is, in reality, an irreplaceable time.
Days that didn't go well, days I yelled, days I was dejected and cried, days I collapsed into bed and fell asleep before my child,
When I look back, they will all become 'treasures' that warm my heart.
That is why I wish.
For a society where the time spent raising children is accepted
not as 'time of loss,' but as 'the gentlest time in life.'
The time when a child calls out 'Mama~' is much, much shorter than you think.

The small events within that time quietly support the lives of parents and children.
I am now trying to capture and record those feelings as daily events in words (text).

Not special things,
but ordinary moments that happen in every household.
As if to shed light on moments that anyone might overlook.
And to convey that those moments themselves are shining treasures in life.
Someday,
when looking back on the time spent raising children,
I hope that more and more people will think,
"I'm glad I had that time."
And for children to grow up bright and healthy,
Dreaming of such a future,
I am typing on my keyboard today.

I will continue to deliver these thoughts in the form of books.
