Background and Story: A Tale of Trust and Maturation, Starting from New Make

The core malt raw spirit for this product is "new make" (freshly distilled spirit) that Liquor Mountain purchased in multiple casks from Nagahama Distillery in its early days, with the aim of future single malt production. This raw spirit has been slowly matured over many years in Nagahama, Shiga, gaining richness and complexity. Mr. Yaku, the distillery blender, specially blended this spirit for Liquor Mountain. The key malts generously include raw spirits aged in Château Mont Perat red wine casks, as well as raw spirits that underwent secondary maturation (finish) in the same casks. Furthermore, by vatting carefully selected bourbon cask raw spirits, a unique single malt truly worthy of the name "Reserve (special preservation)" has been born, available only at Liquor Mountain.
