Welcoming AI as a "Team Member" – LifePrompt Launches "AxMates," an AI Platform with Internal System Integration, Permission Design, and Implementation Support

LifePrompt Inc. (Headquarters: Shinjuku-ku, Tokyo; Representative Director: Satoshi Endo) will begin offering "AxMates" (pronounced "Ax-Mates"), an AI platform that allows AI to integrate with internal systems and complete tasks like a team member, starting April 1, 2026.

Unlike general-purpose chat AI such as ChatGPT, AxMates connects with internal tools (Google Drive, Slack, freee, HERP, etc.) via API to handle actual business operations, including not only dialogue but also information gathering, drafting, transcription, and execution of routine tasks. For implementation, we adopt an "accompanying support" model, where we collaboratively design permission settings with the customer, determining which data the AI can access and what extent of execution is allowed.

Background: Why AxMates is Needed Now

With the widespread adoption of Large Language Models (LLMs) like ChatGPT, many companies are striving to utilize AI in their operations. However, the following challenges have emerged from the field:

1. Asking questions in chat alone doesn't complete the work.

While general-purpose AI excels at answering questions, it cannot access internal systems and operate within actual business workflows. Ultimately, manual work remains, where humans copy AI responses and transfer them to other tools.

2. Workflow-based tools tend to become technical debt.

Workflow automation tools like n8n and Zapier are powerful for their creators but tend to become siloed, making maintenance difficult if key personnel leave. 1. Connects with internal systems to complete tasks.

It integrates via API with internal tools such as Google Drive, Slack, Teams, freee, HERP, and Notion. For example, if you request "summarize last month's sales" in chat, it can collect relevant data from multiple tools and create a draft in the specified format.

2. Possesses business logic as natural language knowledge.

Unlike workflow-based tools, AxMates stores business procedures and rules as natural language knowledge (SOPs). This allows content to be reviewed and modified without programming knowledge, making handover easy even if personnel change. As AI becomes smarter, it can perform tasks with higher quality from the same knowledge, preventing technical debt.

3. Permission design using MCP (Model Context Protocol).

AxMates controls which internal data the AI can access, what processes it can perform, and where it can output information using a mechanism called MCP. This allows for control not only over access permissions but also at the processing and output levels, such as "can output aggregated results but not individual data" or "do not provide confidential information in this channel."

4. Responds as the same "single entity" from multiple channels.

AxMates can be accessed via multiple channels, including web chat, Slack, Microsoft Teams, email forwarding, Chrome extension, and scheduled activation. Regardless of the channel, it responds as a single entity with the same memory, experience, and judgment criteria.

5. Completely separate environments for each customer (single-tenant).

We adopt a single-tenant approach, building an independent environment for each customer. This ensures that customer data is not mixed with data from other companies, and a dedicated MCP server can also be co-located.

6. Implementation accompaniment.

The implementation of AxMates is not just about providing a tool. We collaboratively design with the customer "which tasks to start with," "which systems to connect," and "who should have what level of permissions." The connection infrastructure (MCP) established during this implementation process is not proprietary to AxMates, so it can be utilized as is even if migrating to other AI services.

AxMates, unlike typical chat AI that resets each time, learns from experience every time it performs a task.
