Lifenet Insurance Company (Headquarters: Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo; President and CEO: Junpei Yokosawa) exhibited a booth at the "Tokyo Pride 2026 Pride Parade & Festival" held at Yoyogi Park from June 6 (Sat) to June 7 (Sun), 2026.
1,749 people visited the Lifenet Insurance booth over the two days!
Although there were times of inclement weather during the event, a total of 1,749 people visited our booth over the two days. All of us at Lifenet Insurance sincerely thank everyone who stopped by.
Each Shining Smile Becomes a Force for Support: What is the "Rainbow Photo Project"?
The "Rainbow Photo Project" is our unique initiative that has been ongoing since 2016. For each customer who cooperates with a photo session at our booth, we contribute 100 yen to a fund that is then donated to support activities promoting understanding of LGBTQ+.
This event saw a great deal of support from many people, and we were able to take many photos filled with smiles against backdrops such as rainbow flags.
How the Funds Raised Will Be Used
With the participation of 1,749 people, we were able to accumulate a total of 174,900 yen. The funds raised through your warm cooperation will be used for various initiatives to foster diversity, including promoting understanding of LGBTQ+. Lifenet Insurance will continue to move forward with all of you towards the realization of a society where everyone can live authentically.
Lifenet Insurance's Diversity & Inclusion Initiatives
Lifenet Insurance upholds the "Lifenet Insurance Manifesto" as its code of conduct for officers and employees. This includes the statement, "We will continue to adapt to change by respecting diversity and cooperating with each other," and diversity and teamwork are deeply ingrained as our company culture.
In practice, our "Recruitment Manifesto" publicly states our emphasis on diversity, making gender, sexual orientation, gender identity, gender expression, nationality, and academic background irrelevant.
We also have established personnel systems that allow for the acquisition of nursing care leave for partners, regardless of whether they are of the same or opposite sex.
This stance is also reflected in our services. In November 2015, in response to customer requests, we expanded the scope of death benefit recipients to include same-sex partners. This initiative, which was progressive at the time, has now reached its 10th anniversary, and the number of customers designating same-sex partners as beneficiaries or designated proxy claimants continues to increase.
Lifenet Insurance respects the diverse ways of life of each individual and will continue to challenge itself towards the realization of a society where everyone can live authentically and with peace of mind.
