LIFEFUND Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Hamamatsu City, Shizuoka Prefecture, Representative Director: Takuma Shirato) has launched a platform that records and publishes AI use cases specialized for the construction industry. The platform includes 33 cases of utilizing multiple generative AI tools such as ChatGPT, Gemini, and NotebookLM in actual construction work, and can be searched by job type, including sales, design, site management, and marketing. It is provided to students of LIFEFUND's "Horiemon AI School Construction Course" and premium members of the "Construction AI Management Research Group."
A Deep Divide Between "Introduction" and "Utilization" of AI in the Construction Industry The spread of generative AI is accelerating. According to a survey conducted by ICT Research and Consulting in February 2026, 54.7% of internet users have experience using generative AI services within the past year, an increase of 25.7 percentage points from the previous survey (ICT Research and Consulting, "Survey on Generative AI Service Usage Trends, February 2026", n=2,024).
However, usage does not directly translate to business results. A survey by Persol Research and Consulting targeting 3,000 regular employees nationwide found that while tasks utilizing generative AI showed an average time reduction of 16.7%, only 25.4% of users actually saw a reduction in their overall working hours (Persol Research and Consulting, "Survey on the Impact of Generative AI on Work Styles", announced February 2026).
This trend is also prominent in the construction industry. A survey by ANDPAD Inc. targeting 2,000 construction industry workers revealed that the AI utilization rate in the construction industry was 34.8%, with the top reason for not utilizing AI being "not knowing what AI can do" (ANDPAD, "Survey on AI Utilization in the Construction Industry", December 2025).
Furthermore, a joint survey by Shinken Housing and 9 Housing Tech companies targeting 441 housing industry stakeholders showed a sharp increase in businesses reporting "utilizing" generative AI from 28.1% in the previous year to 77.4%. However, challenges such as "not being able to incorporate it into business workflows" and "lack of standardization due to skill differences within the company" were ranked high ("Survey on DX and AI Promotion Status in the Housing Industry 2026", March 2026).
AI has been introduced. However, at the site level, utilization is stagnating because there is no concrete image of "how to use it in my job."
"See and Imitate" AI Use Case Platform Specialized for Construction The AI use case platform specialized for the construction industry was developed to bridge this gap. It records and publishes actual AI use cases being implemented in construction companies through videos. Each case is organized by the tools used, field, and utilization category, designed so that users can quickly find cases relevant to their own job type and tasks.
