Life Design Kabaya Managed Site and Construction for 'ETENA Nakasendo Nishi', a 3-Story Wooden Designer Rental Apartment in Kita-ku, Okayama City

Life Design Kabaya Co., Ltd. (President and CEO: Kentaro Kubota / Headquarters: Okayama City, Okayama Prefecture) took charge of the site management and construction of the 3-story wooden designer rental apartment 'ETENA Nakasendo Nishi' (total of 2 buildings, North and South) newly built by Kowa Jisho Co., Ltd. (Representative Director: Tadao Kurumi / Headquarters: Nagoya City, Aichi Prefecture) in Tanaka, Kita-ku, Okayama City, and handed over the building on Friday, March 13, 2026. [About the ETENA Nakasendo Nishi Building] ETENA Nakasendo Nishi consists of two newly built buildings, the North Building and the South Building, on the same site. Both are 3-story wooden structures, and by using JAS structural timber made from Okayama Prefecture timber for the structural framework, we have ensured reliable quality while realizing a sustainable building that effectively utilizes the region's abundant forest resources. The building was designed by Mr. Takashi Suzuki, President of Tsuzuki Office Co., Ltd., who has won numerous awards. In addition to the exterior design with impressively shaped windows, solid wood flooring is used indoors to create a space filled with warmth and comfort. Furthermore, by heavily utilizing sliding doors, the space can be flexibly partitioned according to the family's lifestyle, realizing an efficient living space. It is a wooden designer rental apartment where residents can live for a long time feeling the changing seasons close at hand, balancing comfort and flexibility. The 1st floor consists of 2 rental stores, and the 2nd and 3rd floors consist of a total of 10 rental residential units (2LDK). The total floor area is 914.16 m2. It consists of a total of 10 rental residential units: 2LDK (6 units) and maisonette-type 3LDK (4 units). The total floor area is 865.96 m2. [Life Design Kabaya's In-house Carpenters Handled the Wooden Construction Work] For this project, our in-house carpenters gathered to carry out the wooden construction work. Currently, we have a total of 23 in-house carpenters, including Vietnamese technical intern trainees. The first cohort is entering its 10th year this year, and many of our carpenters are widely active not only in residential homes but also at various construction sites. In addition to our in-house carpenters with technical skills and abundant experience, we are building an internal structure to fully utilize the know-how and knowledge of 'wooden architecture' that we have cultivated from development to construction as a strength in the non-residential and special architecture fields.
