Yamanashi Prefecture and Life is Tech! Report Results of the Second Year of the 'Yamanashi Prefecture DX Human Resource Development Ecosystem Creation Project,' Aiming to Establish a Locally-Driven DX Model

Life is Tech, Inc. (Headquarters: Minato-ku, Tokyo; CEO: Yusuke Mizuno) held a 'Results Presentation' for the second year of the 'Yamanashi Prefecture DX Human Resource Development Ecosystem Creation Project' on March 10, 2026, at Bell Classic Kofu, as part of an initiative promoted by Yamanashi Prefecture. This project is a collaboration between Yamanashi Prefecture and Life is Tech! aimed at simultaneously fostering digital talent among middle school, high school, and university students in the prefecture, and utilizing these trained university students to promote digital transformation (DX) for local businesses. By fostering next-generation DX talent through digital education and having students with digital skills support the DX of local small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), the project aims to build a 'DX Human Resource Development Ecosystem' where talent development and industrial growth circulate within the region. At this second-year 'Results Presentation,' two teams of middle/high school students and two teams of university DX leaders were selected to present. They showcased the results of their DX support efforts, which addressed regional issues and management challenges faced by local companies using digital technology. The event was attended by over 100 people, including Yamanashi Governor Kotaro Nagasaki, SME owners, university officials, parents, and representatives from municipalities outside the prefecture. At the beginning of the event, Marumoto, Executive Officer of Life is Tech!, reported on the project's key achievements regarding DX talent development and corporate DX support.

・DX Talent Development: Trained approximately 50 university DX leaders and 320 individuals in DX literacy. For middle and high school students, trained approximately 40 DX leaders and 250 individuals in DX literacy. Cumulatively, the project has produced approximately 1,200 next-generation digital talents including both university and middle/high school students.

・Corporate DX Support: Through 'Digi-Support! Yamanashi,' 125 DX support projects for local SMEs were conducted this fiscal year, totaling 138 cumulatively. By collaborating with commerce and industry organizations and local DX support providers, university students have worked on DX support for SMEs, creating results that lead to regional economic revitalization, such as increased sales and improved customer attraction. Following the presentations by the students, Yamanashi Governor Kotaro Nagasaki provided a summary review. Governor Nagasaki stated, 'The results exceeded my expectations. Furthermore, it was very impressive to see the middle, high school, and university students working proactively while enjoying the process with their peers. It is truly wonderful that they are achieving results while closely addressing the challenges of companies. I hope they continue to share these challenges with those around them, aiming to attract people from all over the world to Yamanashi and change the region,' highly evaluating the significance of this project where youth and local businesses collaborate.
