Lexues is changing.

As an IT company with a 28-year history that has supported digitalization in Okinawa, what we choose at this moment is not "defense" but "redefinition." From a company that builds systems to a companion that connects management and digital. We will give form to that resolve starting April 2026.

Lexues Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Urasoe City, Okinawa Prefecture, Chairman and Representative Director: Takashi Hiyane, President and Director: Tsunehide Yamashiro) will redefine its corporate philosophy in April 2026 and fully launch under a new mission and values.

Since Tsunehide Yamashiro took office as President and Director in September 2025, we have been reorganizing our business areas and designing services for the past half year. Under the new mission, starting in April, we will simultaneously roll out two services: "DX Companion Service" and "Startup Companion Support Service," to support the digital autonomy of Okinawan companies.

1. Lexues' 28 years and the reason for changing now

Lexues Co., Ltd. is an IT company founded in Okinawa in 1998. Centered on software development and Web production, we have supported the digitalization of companies and local governments in Okinawa for 28 years. In 2014, we began handling Cybozu's kintone and proudly hold the No. 1 implementation record in the prefecture. Since 2023, we have accumulated efforts to support the "autonomy" of local companies, such as leading the planning and operation of the Okinawa DX Human Resource Training Course for three consecutive years.

However, many companies are satisfied simply by introducing tools and do not reach DX that transforms management. To overcome this "wall of halting at mere digitalization," in September 2025, we narrowed down our business domain to support low-code tools like AI, DX, and kintone, and were reborn as a "companion connecting management and digital." In April 2026, after half a year of preparation, we redefine our corporate philosophy and fully launch.

Along with this transformation, we have also renewed our corporate mission. "We introduced IT, but nothing changed"—we want to eliminate such voices from Okinawa. That desire is the core of our new mission. Evolving from the conventional "Continuing to create human resources and businesses that enrich society from Okinawa" to "Increasing the number of companies and people who can utilize digital, making companies and citizens in Okinawa Prefecture economically strong and enriching their hearts." While inheriting the aspiration since our founding to enrich society from Okinawa, this is a more proactive declaration that clearly spells out "who to make strong and how."

The redefinition of our philosophy cannot be discussed without the vision drawn by Mr. Yamashiro.

2. The origin of new President Yamashiro — From a sense of crisis that "Okinawa will be left behind at this rate"

Tsunehide Yamashiro (43), the newly appointed President and Director, is a leader with a unique "up-from-the-ranks" background, having driven on-site operations and information system construction as a corporate planning officer and executive at an animal hospital. His motto is "Have confidence but never be satisfied."

During his three years living in Shanghai from 2018, Mr. Yamashiro experienced firsthand the scene where digital supported people's lives and livelihoods under lockdown. However, Okinawa upon his return in August 2021 was a contrast. Kokusai Street was lined with store closure notices, and analog restrictions continued—this sense of crisis, "Okinawa will be left behind at this rate," is the origin of his resolve for transformation.

Mr. Yamashiro squarely faces the reality of Okinawa's child poverty rate of 21.8% (about twice the national average) and having the lowest labor productivity in the country as Lexues' management challenges. Increasing the number of "profitable companies" through hands-on support using AI and kintone, raising employee salaries, and increasing the time and money spent on children—realizing this "cycle of happiness" through digital is Lexues' mission.

3. Redefined Corporate Philosophy — Mission and Values

The newly established Mission and Values articulate Mr. Yamashiro's original experiences and convictions formed through 28 years of business.

▪️MISSION
Increasing the number of companies and people who can utilize digital, making companies and citizens in Okinawa Prefecture economically strong and enriching their hearts.

▪️VALUES
1. As Okinawa's "Shinka" (comrades)
We align our perspectives with consultants and stakeholders, walking together while valuing deep bonds and trust.
2. Continuing to learn without fearing change
We enhance our expertise and technology, bringing evidence and an improvement perspective to our daily work, and creating higher value.
3. Believing in possibilities and contributing to the future
We create an environment where each individual can demonstrate their abilities, contributing to Okinawa's businesses, lives, and future.
