Toyota City is pleased to announce the decision to host 'SENTAN Co-creation Lab -Edge-' for a second consecutive year, with LETT Inc. providing operational support. The SENTAN Co-creation Lab Edge initiative aims to generate new challenges and co-creation from Toyota City, a hub of Japanese manufacturing.

Building on the activities of the first year, efforts for the 2026 fiscal year have now commenced. For this second year, LETT Inc. will again participate in the operation. Representative Shiki will serve as community manager, providing support for co-creation.

Toyota City is the host, with AlphaDrive acting as the secretariat. Monozukuri Avengers, LETT, and Stamen are participating as operational cooperators.

■ 'SENTAN Co-creation Lab -Edge-' 2026 Fiscal Year: 3 Key Strengthening Points

To develop the foundation for co-creation established in the first year into more concrete actions and sustainable results, the following three strengthening points will be addressed in fiscal year 2026:

① More focused on challengers in Toyota City (Top priority)

Guests for regular events will primarily be individuals living or working in Toyota City. By highlighting local players who continue to take on challenges in various fields, and inviting external practitioners related to their challenge themes, the aim is to create a synergy where 'local challenges' intersect with 'external expertise.'

Toyota City has diverse challengers across various industries. By carefully visualizing each individual's efforts and connecting them with external challengers, we aim to provide monthly opportunities that inspire people to 'take action themselves.'

② Strengthen the online community

To connect real-life encounters with daily interactions, the online community will be significantly strengthened. Specifically, 'TUNAG,' an internal communication platform provided by Stamen Inc., will be introduced. This will establish a space where participants can continue information exchange, consultation, and independent planning even after events, constantly updating the co-creation momentum initiated by monthly events.

③ Prepare new mechanisms to encourage challenges

Beyond just 'learning' and 'exchange,' new initiatives are being planned to visualize and commend participants' challenges, providing them with triggers to actually take action after events. Details will be announced once finalized.

■ Comments from Stakeholders

Hisanori Hatanaka, Manager, Next-Generation Industry Division, Toyota City
Involved in the launch and operation of SENTAN Co-creation Lab -Edge- as the administrative representative for this project.

'First and foremost, I extend my heartfelt gratitude to all the participants who ran through the exploratory first year with us. Thanks to your enthusiasm, Edge was able to emerge not just as a 'gathering' but as a 'lab' giving birth to co-creation. For the second year, our goal is to 'involve even more people than in the first year and give birth to as many concrete co-creation projects as possible from here!'

Edge is not merely a place for learning knowledge. It is a platform for people with different backgrounds to mix, create chemical reactions, and shape the next generation of businesses and values for Toyota City and Japan. What might be difficult alone could be possible by teaming up with someone else.
