Lenovo Announces Entertainment-Focused Android Tablet "Lenovo Tab Plus Gen 2" with 9-Unit Speaker System and 2.5K Display

Lenovo Japan LLC (Headquarters: Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo; President: Taro Hiyama; hereinafter "Lenovo") today announced the "Lenovo Tab Plus Gen 2," an Android tablet equipped with a 9-unit speaker system and a 12.1-inch 2.5K display. The release date is July 3, 2026, and the selling price is open.

The Lenovo Tab Plus Gen 2 is an entertainment-focused Android tablet designed for more comfortable enjoyment of video and music content. With its high-definition display and powerful sound, it offers a viewing experience akin to a personal mobile theater, whether at home or on the go.

The back of the main unit is equipped with a 360-degree rotating metal kickstand. It rotates with a satisfying click, allowing for smooth switching between landscape and portrait orientations. The tilt angle can be adjusted steplessly, enabling optimal positioning for various scenarios such as watching videos, reading, or video calls.

The audio features a JBL-made 9-unit speaker system with four tweeters on the sides of the main unit and three woofers and two passive radiators on the back, covering everything from powerful bass to clear treble. It supports Dolby Audio®, allowing you to enjoy sound with optimal balance for the content.

Additionally, it is equipped with a Bluetooth speaker mode, allowing it to be used as a high-quality wireless speaker by connecting to a smartphone via Bluetooth.

The 12.1-inch 2.5K (2560 x 1600 dots) display supports a maximum brightness of 800 nits (HBM), a 120Hz refresh rate, HDR10, and Dolby Vision. It displays video content with clarity and smoothness.

It also features an AI subtitle function that displays real-time subtitles for videos. Supporting over 40 languages, it allows you to enjoy foreign video content with Japanese subtitles (free usage up to 2 hours per day).

The optional briefcase with a convenient carrying strap (sold separately) has space to store the Tab Pen Plus (sold separately).
