Leifras Co., Ltd., a company that operates sports schools for children and supports the regional development of school club activities, has achieved a milestone of expanding its flagship "Leifras Sports School" into all 47 prefectures of Japan with the opening of a new school in Toyama Prefecture.
Since its founding in 2001 under the corporate philosophy "Change and Design Sports," the company has viewed this nationwide expansion not merely as a goal, but as a starting line for new growth.
Building upon its sports education network of approximately 4,500 locations, Leifras intends to further accelerate expansion into untapped municipalities, while also scaling its school club activities support and welfare service businesses, which are currently bolstered by national policy shifts.
Furthermore, by leveraging its access to capital markets as a Nasdaq-listed company, Leifras will actively pursue strategic M&A both domestically and internationally to accelerate its entry into the next stage of growth.
1. Scaling the School Business Currently, the sports school business boasts the largest scale in Japan with approximately 4,500 schools and 70,700 members. Moving forward, the company will aggressively pursue domestic and international M&A. The recently announced acquisition of Tokai Sports Co., Ltd. (to be completed in June 2026) marks the beginning of this strategy.
2. Scaling Club Activity Support and Welfare Businesses In the "Club Activity Support Business," leveraging its track record of 381 contracted schools, Leifras is building a system to deploy professional coaches nationwide. The "Welfare Business (After-school Day Service)" has expanded rapidly to 29 locations nationwide, a 145% increase year-on-year, continuing the company's efforts to build infrastructure through sports-based therapy.
