New Product: Leica Cine Compact 1

Leica Smart Projection GmbH is announcing the Leica Cine Compact 1, a mini projector that is more compact and mobile than ever before.

The Leica Cine Compact 1 combines cutting-edge laser technology with meticulously thought-out high functionality. Simply set it up and turn it on to enjoy a home entertainment experience with the beautiful image quality that is characteristic of Leica.

This projector features high image quality, excellent acoustic performance, maximum compatibility, and a compact, high-quality design. It offers simple operation and the flexibility to be used anywhere, expanding the possibilities of home entertainment in modern life. Whether on a living room wall or ceiling, in the garden or on the terrace, regardless of the installation location or the presence of a fixed screen, it delivers a maximum brightness of 1700 lumens and a large screen size equivalent to up to 220 inches. A 360-degree rotation function enables a cinema-like viewing experience.

The Leica Cine Compact 1, continuing this Leica lineage, is a product that reinterprets and advances the traditions cultivated over many years from a modern perspective. Inside the projector is a precisely adjusted optical system designed to produce exceptional image quality. A Leica Summicron zoom lens with aspherical elements, a 0.47-inch DMD image chip, and advanced triple RGB laser technology deliver natural colors, reliable brightness, and sharp, vivid 4K images down to the finest detail. Leica's proprietary image processing technology (Leica Image Optimization – LIO™) supports image quality by maintaining a consistently high level of rendering regardless of image size or location. Furthermore, Dolby Vision enables smooth, seamless gradations between light and dark.

A particularly noteworthy aspect of the Leica Cine Compact 1 is its exceptional flexibility. The built-in 360-degree rotation function allows free rotation on walls, ceilings, and almost any angle on the installation surface. Automation features such as zoom, autofocus, keystone correction, and intelligent screen frame adjustment automatically handle adjustments, providing a perfectly aligned image immediately without the hassle of manual operation. These features make the Leica Cine Compact 1 an ideal tool for everyday use as a particularly easy-to-enjoy projector. An optional floor stand, which elegantly blends into living spaces, further increases flexibility. Additionally, it can be mounted on the ceiling using the tripod screw hole on the bottom of the projector.

The Leica Cine Compact 1 also offers numerous features in terms of compatibility and comfortable operation. It integrates Google TV as its operating system, providing direct access to streaming services like Netflix, Disney+, and Amazon Prime. Connectivity options such as Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, Apple AirPlay, and Apple HomeKit, as well as HDMI and USB ports, allow for seamless integration with existing setups and flexible expansion. The built-in audio system delivers clear, room-filling sound, and connecting external speakers via Bluetooth 5.4 or HDMI enhances the audio experience. Audio technologies integrated into the system, such as Dolby Digital, Dolby Digital Plus, and DTS Virtual:X, create an immersive surround sound experience.

Completing the Leica Cine Compact 1 is its beautiful form, high-quality finish, and durability. The aluminum body, featuring a luxurious glass front and evoking Bauhaus aesthetics, is robust, protecting the precisely adjusted optical mechanism while ensuring efficient heat dissipation and long-term stable performance. The Leica Cine Compact 1 uses a transport case made of environmentally friendly expanded polypropylene (EPP). 100% recyclable EPP is a material that balances environmental impact reduction with functionality. The case not only serves as storage but also protects the projector from impacts during transport, meeting the basic requirements for shipping packaging.

The Leica Cine Compact 1 is scheduled to be released in mid-July 2026 at Leica Stores, the Leica Online Store, Leica Boutiques, and authorized Leica dealers.
