Leica Camera Japan Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo) is pleased to announce the photo exhibition "Meeting Point" by Portuguese photographer Teresa Freitas, to be held at Leica Gallery Omotesando.

Freitas has built her unique visual language by traversing the realms of street, documentary, and fine art, with color as her central theme. Her work presents a new perspective on contemporary photography by treating color not merely as decoration, but as a fundamental force for constructing space and guiding perception.

In moments where light and color resonate with each other, and distant places are quietly connected, Freitas's photographs transcend geographical and cultural boundaries, revealing new contours of the world within a visual continuity.

At **Leica Gallery Omotesando**, we will introduce the series "Meeting Point ", which combines photographs taken in two different regions.

Against the broad conceptual framework of "East" and "West", by juxtaposing images taken in distant locations, the exhibition highlights not cultural contrasts, but rather the visual continuity created by color, light, and form.

Each diptych (paired work) becomes a momentary intersection where landscapes from both sides of the world overlap, and as the differences in location dissolve, a tension and intimacy emerge between the two frames, revealing a shared visual rhythm.

These pairings, born from photographs accumulated over many years, demonstrate how photographic memory is formed over time and how visual dialogue transcends geography.

It is precisely this subtle resonance that invites viewers into a new experience of 'seeing'.

Teresa Freitas

Teresa Freitas (born 1990 in Lisbon) is a Portuguese photographer and colorist who creates work across the fields of street, documentary, and fine art. As a practitioner continuously exploring color, she shares insights on how to utilize color in street photography and its expressive possibilities through online courses and workshops. She has collaborated with numerous domestic and international brands, including Porsche, Netflix, Issey Miyake, and Pantone. In early 2022, she held her first solo exhibition in central Seoul, attracting over 110,000 visitors in three months.
