Meaningful Dyeing. Meaningful Undyed.
A Choice Matters.
Lefts, - "The Choice Not to Dye" - Undyed by Lefts, Launches
The brand Lefts,, which has been quietly active with the theme of "meaningful botanical dyeing," is launching a new chapter with the project "Undyed by Lefts,".
Until now, Lefts, has expressed the stories behind materials and products through "meaningful dyeing" using plant-based colors.
Now, as another option, we present "the philosophy of not dyeing."
— Not dyeing.
It is a choice to accept the material's own color and texture as they are.
"Undyed by Lefts," is a series of materials and products born from the philosophy of "A Choice Matters," rather than function or decoration.

This project was sparked when Yuki Michida, the head of Lefts,, visited Africa, Zambia, met local cotton farmers, and had the opportunity to create products while being involved in the full supply chain in its true sense.
Through the experience of cotton grown on vast lands, the lives of the people involved, and the natural colors of the material itself, the meaning of "the choice not to dye" was newly illuminated.
The first release will be T-shirts and socks made from Zambian cotton.
This collection highlights the charm of the material itself through its natural colors, achieved by not dyeing, and Lefts,'s signature silhouettes.

About us
■ About Lefts,

Lefts, began with a small realization.
Upon seeing the pulp left after cold-pressing juice, I noticed the beautiful color of the plant fibers remaining.
Cold-pressed juice is made by extracting the liquid from vegetables and fruits, but in many cases, the remaining fiber is treated as waste.
However, the color was surprisingly rich.
What if we could keep that color in our daily lives, instead of just discarding it?
That thought was the beginning of Lefts.
Agricultural products are grown by someone facing nature 365 days a year. Eating them, and eventually their disappearance, is a natural cycle. Still, can't we preserve the color and vitality inherent in that moment, not just in memory, but in our lives?
Lefts, was born from this idea.
We are not aiming to be a brand for everyone.
Lefts, is a brand for people who choose for themselves and take responsibility for their choices.
It doesn't have to be a large number. If there are people who resonate with it, that is enough.
Lefts, continues to be driven by the quiet intention to choose what is important and take responsibility for that choice.
Lefts, A Choice Matters.
■ About Undyed by Lefts,
Undyed by Lefts,
The choice not to dye.
By not adding color, this series presents the material's texture and structure as they are.
These products, too, can trace their process from raw material to finished product.
The inherent color of cotton, the texture of the fibers, the traces of production.
Leaving them as they are, without hiding them.
Undyed is a product that is realized through subtraction.
Achieved by removing, not adding.
From decoration to structure.
From expression to relationship.
This line, embodying the philosophy of Lefts, in its purest form, is being presented for the first time.
