"Food is Entertainment" is the concept of LDH kitchen Inc. (Headquarters: Meguro-ku, Tokyo; President & CEO: Hiroyuki Suzuki, hereinafter referred to as "the Company"), which disseminates Japanese food culture both domestically and internationally.

Torimachi, a casual dining brand specializing in yakitori born from Torishiki ICHIMON, led by Yoshiteru Ikegawa, the owner of Meguro's "Torishiki," a Michelin-starred restaurant known as a "difficult-to-reserve establishment," and who is working with the Company to enhance the value of Japanese food culture, will participate on the final day of the "Fukui Yakitori Fes!!!," a main event of the "Fukui Phoenix Festival" held from July 31, 2026 (Fri) to August 2, 2026 (Sun).

This participation is a special project to commemorate the 5th anniversary of Kenchi Tachibana (EXILE/EXILE THE SECOND), Fukui City's Food PR Ambassador. It has been realized through collaboration between Fukui City (Mayor: Shigeru Saigyo, hereinafter referred to as "Fukui City"), LDH JAPAN Inc. (Headquarters: Meguro-ku, Tokyo; Chairman & President & CEO: Hiroyuki Igarashi, hereinafter referred to as "LDH JAPAN"), which Mr. Tachibana belongs to, and the Company and Torishiki ICHIMON, which are part of the same group. This will also be the first participation by an out-of-prefecture brand in this event.

On the day, we will offer yakitori, grilled to a fragrant perfection that maximizes its umami, using Torishiki ICHIMON's unique "close-fire high-heat" grilling technique, along with a thrilling performance.

We will deliver the charm of yakitori, a Japanese food culture, as an experience, complete with the live sensation of grilling right before your eyes.

PARTNERSHIP | Past Initiatives with Fukui City

As part of its efforts to deliver Japanese food culture both domestically and internationally with the concept of "Food is Entertainment," the Company has been collaborating with Fukui City since 2019 to promote the region's attractions.

Through promotional initiatives from urban areas, such as the "Echizen Fukui Fair" featuring Fukui ingredients and local sake at various Torimachi restaurants, and the "Fukui Nice! Lunch Fair" at LDH kitchen THE TOKYO HANEDA, we have widely communicated the appeal of Fukui's food culture. These accumulated efforts form the foundation of this initiative.

Building on these activities that have continuously promoted region-based food experiences, we will strive to create new value from Fukui through our participation in this event.

OUR INTENT | Delivering Yakitori as a Cultural Experience

In this initiative, Torishiki ICHIMON aims not merely to provide food and drink, but to reconstruct yakitori, a traditional Japanese food culture, as an "experience."

We value all elements surrounding yakitori, including not only the taste as cuisine but also the artisan's movements, the grilling techniques, and the passage of time in the space.

When these elements come together, yakitori transcends mere cuisine to become a cultural phenomenon.

We will embody this essential value as "Torimachi" in a form that represents "the pinnacle of everyday life" in harmony with the individuality of the "machi" (town), and convey the new charm of yakitori culture.

BRAND STORY | What is "Torimachi"?

"Torimachi" is a casual dining brand specializing in yakitori that embraces people's daily lives, with the theme of "the pinnacle of everyday use," centered around the "three sacred treasures" symbolizing the flavors of good old days.

With the concept of "creating stores rooted in the community," the brand's first step, "Nakameguro Torimachi," was born in September 2023. In 2025, "Harajuku Torimachi" will open in the Jingu-mae/Harajuku area, followed by "Shibaura Torimachi" in the Shibaura/Tamachi area in December of the same year. While harmonizing with the individuality of each town, we have expanded the new possibilities of yakitori culture.

Looking ahead, we aim to expand nationwide and internationally, delivering the unique "nostalgic yet new" yakitori experience of Torimachi to more towns and people around the world.

About Torishiki ICHIMON

Since its opening in 2007, "Torishiki" in Meguro has been a long-standing Michelin one-star restaurant, renowned as "Japan's most difficult-to-reserve yakitori restaurant." "Torishiki ICHIMON" was formed with the aim of further developing yakitori culture, with Yoshiteru Ikegawa, the owner of Torishiki, serving as the representative artisan.

"One skewer for a lifetime."

-- This skewer is for one time only in a lifetime.

With this sentiment in mind, we face chicken, charcoal, and ourselves throughout our lives.

This is a brand where artisans who resonate with such passionate aspirations gather, inherit skills and spirit, and protect, nurture, and pass on the traditions of Japanese food culture to the future.

Currently, we operate 17 stores domestically and internationally, with plans for further expansion.

Weaving yakitori culture into the world, for the next generation
