La Suite Co., Ltd. (President: Hiroyuki Seki, Location: Osaka City) has announced that starting April 22, 2026, it will add a service to its official 'REN App' for 'Umekita Onsen Ren Wellbeing Park' and 'Kobe Minato Onsen Ren' that allows for the issuance of 'Onsen Medical Treatment Instructions' via online medical consultations.
Through this service, users can receive advice on the suitability and utilization methods of hot spring therapy through online consultations with doctors. If conditions are met, the medical instruction form can be issued digitally. This realizes an environment where the entire process of hot spring therapy—which previously required a physical visit to a medical institution before using the facilities—can be completed within the facility or remotely. It significantly reduces the burden for those with mobility issues or those who find it difficult to commute to clinics, making hot spring therapy more accessible.
Since consultations via the app only require a smartphone, a major feature is the convenience of using it anytime and anywhere. Furthermore, soundproof booths suitable for online consultations have been installed within Umekita Onsen Ren Wellbeing Park, allowing users to consult doctors remotely in a private and secure environment.
Reservations for 'Onsen Medical Programs' based on the instructions can also be made through the same app, providing a seamless experience. The app supports both 'Umekita Onsen Ren' and 'Kobe Minato Onsen Ren,' allowing users to choose the facility that best fits their location and needs.
Both facilities are government-certified 'Health Promotion Hot Spring Facilities' meeting standards set by the Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare, supporting health creation through a combination of hot springs and exercise. They maintain a system where qualified staff provide bathing and lifestyle guidance based on medical instructions.
Under certain conditions, facility usage fees and round-trip transportation costs for therapy at certified facilities can be eligible for medical expense deductions from income tax, making it an expected tool for lifestyle disease prevention.
This initiative aims to enhance the value of hot spring therapy at certified facilities by making it more familiar and accessible, contributing to the health promotion and Quality of Life (QOL) of users.
[Service Details] Start Date: Wednesday, April 22, 2026 Fee: 4,400 JPY (tax included) for consultation and instruction issuance via REN App. Note: Users must register as members on the REN App. The consultation for the instruction is a self-pay medical service not covered by health insurance.
