Kyoto International Conference Center 60th Anniversary: First-Ever Bread Festival to be Held on May 9-10!

To celebrate its 60th anniversary, the Kyoto International Conference Center will host its first-ever Bread Festival. Surrounded by the beautiful nature of Mt. Hiei and Lake Takaragaike, the venue's Japanese gardens and modernist architecture will welcome a total of 20 bakeries from Kyoto hotels and various regions. The center's architecture and Japanese gardens, which are usually closed to the public, will be specially opened for this occasion. Please come and visit us during this beautiful season of fresh greenery.

◆ About 'Bread Festival in Kyoto International Conference Center'
The venue, the Kyoto International Conference Center, opened in 1966 as Japan's first full-scale international conference center. Surrounded by the rich nature of Mt. Hiei and Lake Takaragaike, it stands as a representative example of Japanese modernist architecture and celebrates its 60th anniversary this year. Furthermore, Kyoto is a city with a deeply rooted bread culture. The Kyoto Bread Festival, held at Kamigamo Shrine since 2015, attracts many visitors every year.

Through 'bread', which is becoming a representative food culture of Kyoto, this event aims to widely promote the appeal of bakeries from Kyoto hotels and various regions (Kyoto, Tokyo, Gifu, Wakayama, and Nagasaki prefectures). It is also the first bread event held at the Kyoto International Conference Center, providing a casual opportunity for people who have never visited the center before to drop by.
