Head to Kyoto's Okazaki Park for GW! 'Kyoto Gyoza Mission 2026' Features Popular Gyoza, KIDS Expo, and Free Movies for a Full Family Day

The Association for the Promotion of Culture, Arts, and Sports will hold the food festival 'Kyoto Gyoza Mission 2026,' gathering unique gyoza from all over the country, for six days from Friday, May 1 to Wednesday (holiday), May 6, 2026, at Okazaki Park (in front of Heian Shrine) in Kyoto.

This event is a popular festival that attracted 100,000 visitors last year, and it has been scaled up even further this year. Talked-about gyoza shops from all over the country will set up stalls, allowing visitors to enjoy a wide variety of flavors, from classic juicy meat gyoza to creative gyoza utilizing local ingredients.

Furthermore, this time, it is held concurrently with the experiential event for children, 'KIDS Expo 2026.' Numerous contents that children can enjoy while learning will be deployed, such as reverse bungee jumping, drone piloting experiences, and a petting zoo. In addition, free outdoor movie screenings will be held at night. It provides an extraordinary experience where you can enjoy movies along with meals in an open space.

During the Golden Week period, a large number of visitors are expected for this large-scale event that fuses 'food,' 'experience,' and 'entertainment,' which can be enjoyed regardless of generation.
