Kyoritsu Maintenance Co., Ltd. (hereinafter, Kyoritsu Maintenance / President and CEO: Koji Nakamura / Headquarters: Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo), which operates student and corporate dormitories nationwide under the name "Dormy," and Tohoku Gakuin Educational Foundation (hereinafter, Tohoku Gakuin / Chairman: Yoshinori Harada / Sendai City, Miyagi Prefecture) have entered into a business partnership agreement regarding the provision of student dormitories. In conjunction with this, a business partnership signing ceremony was held on July 2, 2026 (Thu) at Tohoku Gakuin University's Kyobashi Campus.

Background and Objectives of the Business Partnership
In recent years, while the importance of "safe and secure housing" in student life has been increasing, the role of dormitories as a "place for learning and development" where students can cultivate social skills by encountering and interacting with diverse values is gaining attention. Against this backdrop, Kyoritsu Maintenance resonated with Tohoku Gakuin University's goal of "creating a learning space for multicultural coexistence and fostering global human resources who will lead the next generation," and will jointly develop an international exchange dormitory exclusively for the university. Going beyond simply providing living space, we will comprehensively support the qualitative improvement of the university's student life and the promotion of internationalization through a robust support system and security based on our many years of operational experience.
The name of the new international exchange dormitory has been decided as "TG Global House (Tee Jee Global House)," conceived by two RAs (Resident Assistants) who have supported students in the current international student dormitory. Located a 5-minute walk from Kyobashi Campus, the facility will be a 7-story building with a total of 120 rooms, of which 40 rooms will be for international students and 80 rooms for general students, promoting daily international exchange. Furthermore, an "monthly rent subsidy of 20,000 yen" from the university will be applied as financial support for eligible individuals. Applications for move-in began on July 2, 2026 (Thu).
Key Value Provided by the Business Partnership
1. Community and RA System to Foster "Multicultural Coexistence"
At "TG Global House," one-third of all residents will be international students from various countries. The "RA Program System," where student leaders support dormitory life, will be introduced to promote interaction among residents through events such as welcome parties and community contribution activities. This will foster rich social skills and cooperation, allowing residents to mutually recognize and understand language barriers and cultural differences.
2. Safe and Secure Living Foundation and Fulfilling Meals
Warm breakfast and dinner, primarily handmade based on menus created by registered dietitians, will be provided six days a week (Monday to Saturday). Additionally, with a live-in dormitory manager couple, an environment where residents can live with peace of mind, even if it's their first time living alone, is established.
3. Creation of "Time" and "Environment" for Dedicated Study
Commuting time is shortened due to the close proximity, about a 5-minute walk from Kyobashi Campus. Comfortable private rooms equipped with a mini-kitchen, bathroom, toilet, and furniture and appliances are provided in all rooms, offering ample space to concentrate on studies.

Comments from Representatives
Tohoku Gakuin University President Haruki Onishi
This year marks the 140th anniversary of our university's founding, and we have strong international roots. Amidst increasing globalization, the newly established international exchange dormitory "TG Global House" will serve as an important hub symbolizing our university's internationalization and act as a bridge to the local community. We hope that this name, conceived by the resident assistants who support students on the ground, will be loved by students and the local community for a long time. Through the experience of overcoming cultural differences and achieving coexistence, we will foster human resources who will support inbound and outbound tourism in Tohoku.
Tohoku Gakuin University Director of International Exchange Yuko Watanabe
The experience of living daily with students from various countries, with one-third of the residents being international students, is extremely rare and valuable. As the saying goes, "Easier said than done," both international and Japanese students will likely face many challenges due to differences in lifestyles and ways of thinking. However, we want them to acquire the ability to mutually recognize and understand language barriers and cultural differences. We are confident that such experiences align with the principles of Christian education on which our university is founded and will provide significant educational benefits.
Kyoritsu Maintenance Co., Ltd. Executive Officer, Head of Residence East Japan Business Division Shinsuke Akimoto

We will now establish a new international exchange dormitory exclusively for Tohoku Gakuin University in a prime location approximately a 5-minute walk from Kyobashi Campus. We promise to provide a safe and internationally diverse environment through the RA Program System, while supporting students' health with live-in dormitory managers and two meals a day. We are fully committed to the healthy growth of students and the development of the region.
