Kyodo Tokyo Inc. will hold “Saitama Stadium Fireworks: John Williams Fireworks 2026,” an entertainment show combining the music of film-score maestro John Williams with fireworks, on Saturday, September 5, 2026, at Saitama Stadium 2002. From the uplifting Olympic fanfare that almost everyone has heard at least once to deeply moving lyrical melodies, masterpieces created by John Williams, a living legend of film music, will be brought back on an unprecedented scale through a state-of-the-art sound system and more than 10,000 fireworks. The program will evoke many landmark films in cinema history: the grand space journey of “Star Wars,” the wonder of life in “Jurassic Park,” the magical exhilaration of “Harry Potter,” the adventurous spirit of “Indiana Jones,” the justice of “Superman,” the emotion of “E.T.,” and the tension of “Jaws.” These melodies will fall like particles of light across the night sky above Saitama Stadium. Which music from which scenes will be paired with which fireworks will be revealed only to those gathered at the stadium on the day. The venue is Saitama Stadium 2002, one of Japan’s leading dedicated stadiums and the site of many historic moments. Its overwhelming scale and open space make it an ideal setting for the maestro’s music. For this event, the stadium’s grass field area will be specially opened, offering an immersive experience from a viewpoint normally unavailable to visitors. The event is also designed to be family-friendly. In addition to parent-child area tickets, the venue will provide facilities such as diaper-changing spaces and nursing rooms, welcoming families to create summer memories together with music loved across generations. Guests who purchase ground seats in the Premium, Gold, or parent-child areas will receive an event-exclusive original leisure sheet.
