Kindrill Japan Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Minato-ku, Tokyo, President & Representative Director: Jonathan Ingram, hereinafter "Kindrill") and ServiceNow Japan LLC (Headquarters: Minato-ku, Tokyo, President: Masatoshi Suzuki, hereinafter "ServiceNow") announce that Yukinoshita Milk Co., Ltd. (hereinafter "Yukinoshita Milk") has adopted ServiceNow, a cloud-based integrated platform, to revamp its workflow system. The revamp of the workflow system will be completed by the end of 2025, with Kindrill and ServiceNow contributing to the enhancement of the platform to achieve productivity reforms. Kindrill will continue to be responsible for the operation and management of the workflow system, ensuring continuous business operations and supporting Yukinoshita Milk's ongoing digital transformation.

Yukinoshita Milk has announced the new "Next Design 2030" for its group and is working on "DX Promotion" and "Human Capital Utilization and Growth" as its foundational strategies. As part of this initiative, in the revamp of its workflow system, Yukinoshita Milk has identified three key focus points: being an enterprise-wide integrated business foundation, being able to flexibly respond to business needs, and utilizing global standard, cutting-edge technology. The system was previously used by approximately 4,800 people (as of March 2026), including group companies, and the pre-migration system had the following main issues:

  • Difficulty in providing timely functional modifications in response to user requests for system improvements.

  • Limitations on devices, including smartphones, and access routes due to system constraints.

  • Increased development and modification costs due to a shortage of engineers (human resources) familiar with the pre-migration system.

Therefore, from among multiple candidate solutions, Yukinoshita Milk adopted ServiceNow's App Engine, which not only resolves issues but also aligns with its focus points and enables rapid construction and automation of digital workflows. It consolidated all databases for frequently used and important workflows (business processes), such as approval requests, labor requests, and master data requests, into ServiceNow.

Kindrill, being well-versed in Yukinoshita Milk's workflow system, leveraged its extensive experience and knowledge, along with know-how from multiple ServiceNow migration cases, to contribute to the successful migration of the large-scale workflow system. From a developer's perspective, the adoption of a widely used solution in this domain that enables no-code/low-code development ensured ease of development. As a result, Yukinoshita Milk can now secure talent, develop in-house, and perform flexible additional development and modifications. From a user's perspective, an environment allowing business operations via smartphones has been established, significantly contributing to productivity improvements and the promotion of work style reforms.

ServiceNow is widely used globally, possesses high demand, and boasts rich, extensive knowledge and best practices. It offers diverse use cases and training to support in-house development for overcoming engineer shortages and enabling flexible additional development and modifications. It will continue to support Yukinoshita Milk in promoting productivity reforms.
