Soranbo Club LLC (Headquarters: Agatsuma-gun, Gunma Prefecture), the operator of the all-villa resort "Asama Soranbo (Kuzanbo)", has implemented a special flower design project by world-renowned floral artist Nicolai Bergmann to commemorate its 5th anniversary on April 26, 2026 (Sunday). The concept for the 5th-anniversary project, including this collaboration, has been decided as "Asama, Where the Sky, Mountains, and Five Senses Breathe, and Beyond," and we will convey our gratitude to everyone.
For this project, Nicolai Bergmann himself visited the site, directly experiencing the facility's spaces and natural environment, to create flower installations in multiple areas including guest rooms, lounges, and restaurants. This has resulted in a special spatial arrangement, unique to this location, that harmonizes with the majestic nature of Mount Asama.
Special Flower Design Inspired by the Grand Natural Space
For this decoration, purple was chosen as the base color to stand out against the facility's monotone interior. By combining strong branches, warm wooden vessels, and Arita ware vessels originally created by Nicolai Bergmann, we pursued harmony between the flowers, vessels, and the space. Designs that integrate with the natural environment of Mount Asama surrounding the facility are incorporated throughout.
Production Process Through Meticulous Handwork
In the creation of the works, designs full of life, akin to fresh flowers, are produced through detailed handwork such as wiring each hydrangea and leaf individually, looping leaves, and arranging them with tweezers. Approximately 80% of this production process is spent on preparation at the Tokyo studio, with the final design adjustments made on-site to suit the space.
Limited Edition Flower Box Expressing the Silhouette of Mount Asama
To commemorate the 5th anniversary, a special design flower box has also been produced. The sides of the box feature a design inspired by the silhouette of Mount Asama, expressing a connection with nature not only through the flowers but also through the entire package. Approximately 20 types of flowers and leaves are used in the work, designed with a focus on a round form that appears beautiful from any angle.
