Harmony Farm LLC (Representative: KEIKO), which operates the 'Harmony Cafe & Private Salon' in Kuwana City, Mie Prefecture, will take on the dream of inheriting the spirit of the 'farm' passed down through generations to create a 'multi-generational community space' where lonely postpartum mothers, children who do not attend school, and elderly people seeking connection with society can gather together.

## ■ The one and only reason we named our salon 'Farm'

Our company, established in January 2025, is named 'Harmony Farm' despite operating a cafe and femcare salon near Kuwana Station. This name holds my personal, yet desperate and unwavering, feelings as the representative.

My family home was a farm that has been passed down for generations. Currently, my younger brother manages the land by himself, but due to changes in his health and the tides of time, he is facing difficulties in maintaining the farmland as before. However, at an age where I now see my grandchildren's faces, I no longer have the physical strength to take over full-scale farming.

'Even if I can't cultivate the soil directly, isn't there another way to protect the spirit of this 'farm' and connect it to the future?'

This thought led me to launch the 'Harmony Cafe & Private Salon' to heal local women and nurture their health. Instead of growing vegetables, I nurture the smiles of mothers who will create the future and the local people. This is my way of protecting the 'farm' and a new challenge for the second half of my life.

## ■ A 'Salon with a Grandma' to save lonely moms

While listening to customers' stories at the cafe, I learned that so many mothers are suffering from 'lonely parenting' and 'postpartum physical issues they can't tell anyone about.'

I want to embrace them completely, like a mother or a grandma, as they push themselves to their limits. With that in mind, in March 2026, we renovated the second floor of our store and opened a salon where you can receive femcare just by sitting down without changing clothes. While the mom is caring for her own body, a grandma takes care of the baby on the first floor. It's a place where you can jump in without worrying about anyone's eyes.

## ■ My ultimate goal. A free school combining an 'old folk house × agriculture'

However, my dream does not end here. As a former teacher, I have over 20 years of experience providing academic support to local truant and delinquent children.

Currently, while the number of children who do not attend school continues to increase, there is an overwhelming lack of 'places to belong outside of school' where they can spend their time in peace. That is why, as my ultimate dream, I plan to utilize the 'old folk house and farmland in Kamifukaya' that my brother has protected to create a farming experience-based free school and an elderly community.
