The International Mindfulness Center JAPAN (IMCJ), represented by Kiyoko Inoue, announced the "Spring Heartfulness Retreat: Gift of Loving Awareness" to be held from April 25 to April 28, 2026, for three nights and four days. The venue is Kuu Retreat, a small forest retreat facility in Saikai City, Nagasaki Prefecture, which is currently under construction and developed with local cooperation. The retreat aims to deepen mindfulness and compassion, providing an opportunity to explore "Loving Awareness" as an inner resource for navigating daily stress and life challenges. The program includes guided meditation and noble silence, except for some sharing sessions. The capacity is limited to 10 participants. The participation fee is 83,400 JPY (tax included) for the retreat, and accommodation with meals (shared room) is 41,910 JPY for 3 nights, or 53,790 JPY for a private room (subject to availability). A free online information session will be held on April 18, 2026, from 9:00 to 10:00 JST, led by Kiyoko Inoue. Kiyoko Inoue is the representative of IMCJ and Trauma-Sensitive Mindfulness JAPAN, and a certified teacher and trainer for various mindfulness programs. She is currently researching modern mindfulness and traditional Buddhist meditation at Mahachulalongkornrajavidyalaya University in Thailand. IMCJ was established to promote scientifically-evidenced mindfulness in Japan, offering 8-week courses and instructor training programs.
