## Project Overview
Held ahead of 'World Sleep Day' on March 13, the event aimed to disseminate the current domestic and international situation, issues, and latest findings regarding sleep. It featured a press conference by the president of the Japanese Society of Sleep Research on the establishment of 'Sleep Disorder Departments,' and a space to actually experience the latest sleep tech (sleep x technology). As an event aimed at improving the QOL of business people through sleep, it was attended by about 500 people, including general participants and members of the press.
## Background of Exhibition
According to an OECD survey, Japan's average sleep time is at the lowest level among member countries (*), and many business people suffer from chronic sleep deprivation. The decline in sleep quality is a serious social issue that is directly linked not only to a decrease in concentration and productivity but also to physical and mental health risks. On the other hand, in recent years, interest in sleep improvement has been growing to an unprecedented extent against the backdrop of the expanding sleep tech market and rising wellness awareness. In response to this social background, 'GOKUMIN' wanted to contribute to solving sleep problems with a new approach that goes beyond just bedding. That's where the cross-industry collaboration with Anker Japan's audio brand 'Soundcore' came into focus. By having two companies with different areas of expertise, a bedding manufacturer and an audio manufacturer, join forces, we aimed to present a new sleep experience that appeals to the five senses from the unprecedented perspective of 'sound x bedding'. Based on the idea of preparing the sleep environment from both the 'comfort of bedding' and 'sleep induction support by sound', we decided to exhibit at this event.
