About "Nectar of the Gods"
"Nectar of the Gods" was created with the aim of recreating "Nectar," the drink of the gods featured in Greek mythology. With the historical background of mead, considered one of the oldest brewed alcoholic beverages, we use linden honey from Hokkaido as the raw ingredient. It is characterized by its crisp taste and can be enjoyed straight or mixed with soda. A tasting set will also be sold in limited quantities.

"Nectar of the Gods" recreates mead (honey wine), which some mythology researchers have theorized to be the true identity of the gods' drink "Nectar." Mead is one of the oldest brewed alcoholic beverages, fermented using only honey, water, and yeast. The oldest known evidence is traces found in pottery from the Jiahu ruins in China, dating back approximately 9,000 years. It was developed to recreate the prototype of the oldest known alcoholic beverage in human history for the modern era.
Made with nectar from "linden" flowers, which also appear in mythology
The raw ingredient for "Nectar of the Gods" is linden honey from Hokkaido. Linden trees appear in the myths of Northern Europe and Greece as sacred trees, possessing a vitality that allows them to live for up to 1000 years. We use honey collected by bees from the flowers that linden trees bloom in summer, during their short blooming period of only 2-3 weeks. It is characterized by its floral aroma, subtle herbal notes, and smooth sweetness, finished while retaining the natural sweetness of honey.
A long-established brewery in Fukushima Prefecture, known for producing many types of mead, expresses the refreshing sweetness of honey.
We collaborated with "Mine no Yuki Brewery" in Fukushima Prefecture, which was one of the first in Japan to engage in the brewing of various meads and has honed its techniques for bringing out the unique characteristics of honey. This time, referencing descriptions in mythology, we have finished it with a dry taste, suppressing both alcohol content and sugar content. It has a smooth texture that pairs well with meals, expressing the crisp refreshment of honey and a lingering sweet aftertaste.
