KURAND Inc. (Headquarters: Adachi-ku, Tokyo; Representative Director: Kyoro Ogihara) held the "KURAND Sake Festival," an event to experience products from its online sake shop "KURAND," on June 20, 2026 (Sat.) at Bellesalle Shinjuku South Exit (Shibuya-ku, Tokyo).

The event was held in two sessions, from 12:30 to 15:00 and from 16:30 to 19:00, with a total of approximately 600 visitors. Twenty-six partner breweries that produce KURAND's craft sake participated, allowing attendees to experience products normally sold exclusively on the KURAND EC site.

At the "KURAND Sake Festival," attendees received 25 tasting tickets upon entry, and could drink sake by consuming 1 to 5 tasting tickets per cup. Over 150 types of sake were offered for tasting tickets, covering a wide range of categories including Japanese sake, plum wine, fruit wine, liqueurs, shochu, wine, premium sour bases, whiskey, craft gin, and rum. It was an event where visitors could experience a variety of unique original sakes, including those that became popular on social media and rare sakes not usually available for sale.

At the "KURAND Sake Festival," there was also a booth where visitors could experience the popular "Sake Gacha" service with a real capsule toy machine, and an event called "Sake FES Mission" where participants searched for four keywords on social media and at the venue.

Particularly popular at this event was the "Kurafan!" booth, where attendees could experience products that achieved their crowdfunding goals through the "Kurafan!" service launched last year. Many people flocked to the booth right after the doors opened. "Akuma no Cheesecake," a cheesecake designed to pair with sake and released as the first "Kurafan!" product, was a great success, with all available quantities sold out within 10 minutes of its release.

Approximately 60% of ticket purchasers were in their 20s and 30s.

Data from pre-sale and same-day ticket purchasers for the "KURAND Sake Festival" sold on KURAND's EC site showed that 32.0% were in their 20s and 42.7% were in their 30s, totaling 76.7% in their 20s and 30s. While some representatives purchased tickets for their entire group, it was evident that a large portion of attendees were younger customers. Furthermore, compared to last year's ticket purchaser data, the proportion of those in their 20s increased by 5.7 percentage points, from 24.3% to 32.0%, indicating that more young people were able to experience the appeal of sake than last year. The event was enjoyed by a wide range of drinking demographics, including not only sake enthusiasts but also many sake beginners.

Voices from Event Participants

I had a great time enjoying rare sakes that I can't usually drink and talking with my favorite brewers. (30 years old, Female) ■ Since it's usually sold online and I can't try them before buying, it was great to be able to identify what I wanted to purchase while experiencing them. (30s, Female) ■ I participated last time as well, but the lineup was very different from last year, so I was able to try many things I hadn't tasted before. (30s, Male) ■ There were many limited edition sakes, such as those sold by lottery, and it was great to be able to try sakes that are usually out of my price range. (25-29 years old, Male) ■ I attended with a friend who doesn't handle alcohol very well, but by trying small amounts of the slightly more expensive sakes, we were able to enjoy it together.
