About Kumonos Corporation
Kumonos Corporation's mission is to "digitize all creation," focusing on "precise 3D digitization of all spaces and objects" and "remote digital inspection of social infrastructure" as its business domains.
In 1998, the Company introduced Japan's first 3D laser scanner. Since then, we have developed 3D measurement and 3D data utilization businesses using 3DLS technology, accumulating over 3,000 measurement projects over 25 years and leading the domestic 3D measurement market. We have also actively promoted the widespread adoption of 3D measurement equipment, supporting the introduction of cutting-edge 3DLS such as FARO Insight and Artec 3D. Starting this year, we have become the official primary distributor for XGRIDS products in Japan, entrusted by XGRIDS JAPAN, focusing on providing 3D measurement solutions and contributing to the overall technological advancement of the industry.
Furthermore, the Company began its surveying business as part of the recovery efforts after the 1995 Great Hanshin Earthquake and has since developed remote digital inspection services for social infrastructure using the latest technology. Our company name "KUMONOS" is derived from a unique measurement system, the only one in the world, that can accurately measure 0.2mm cracks from 100m away. It has been adopted for roads, bridges, dams, and large facilities both domestically and internationally, supporting societal safety.
Our technology has received high praise, including the Japan Monozukuri Grand Award and numerous ministerial commendations from the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism, the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry, and the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology. It was also introduced to world leaders at the G20 Osaka Summit. Moving forward, we will continue to implement advanced technologies backed by our high technical capabilities to provide DX solutions across various fields.
