◆ Lecture Comment
We live by discarding cells. 'Cell death' was a field not even described in textbooks decades ago, but due to research developments since the 1980s, it is now understood as a controlled, spontaneous cellular activity. It has also become clear that insufficient or excessive cell death causes various diseases. In this lecture, I will introduce efforts aimed at creating new therapies for diseases such as enteritis, anti-aging, and skin beauty treatments.
