Krispy Kreme Doughnut Japan (KKDJ) announced a campaign for 'National Doughnut Day' on Friday, June 5, 2026, offering a free 'Original Glazed®' doughnut at all Krispy Kreme locations.
Additionally, the company is accepting applications from companies and organizations starting Monday, June 1, for its 'Donut Transformation' (DX) program, which supports internal communication through the sharing of doughnuts. 100 selected companies will receive up to 60 doughnuts each, free of charge.
'National Doughnut Day' originated in the U.S. In Japan, customers who purchase at least one item will receive a free 'Original Glazed®' doughnut, while supplies last.
To celebrate the 20th anniversary of the brand's arrival in Japan, KKDJ has prepared a total of 20,000 'Original Glazed®' doughnuts, an increase of 10,000 from last year. These will be distributed on a first-come, first-served basis starting at each store's opening time. Furthermore, the Tokyo International Forum, Shibuya Cine Tower, and Canal City Hakata locations will distribute 'fresh, warm Original Glazed®' doughnuts for two hours only, from 1 PM to 3 PM.
The 'Donut Transformation' (DX) initiative, returning this year, aims to create a 'sweet space' where conversations and smiles emerge naturally by delivering doughnuts to offices. The 2025 program was a huge success, receiving applications from over 900 organizations. This year, 100 selected companies will receive their requested number of 'Original Glazed® Dozens' (up to 5 dozen).
