Krispy Kreme Doughnuts Japan Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Shibuya-ku, Tokyo; Representative Director and President: Takako Wakatsuki; hereinafter: KKDJ) conducted the participatory project "Krispy Kreme Doughnuts Fan Vote 2026" to commemorate its 20th anniversary in Japan. The top 5 items, selected from over 1,000 types of products by more than 80,000 total votes, will be re-released for a limited time at all Krispy Kreme Doughnuts stores*1 starting May 27, 2026 (Wednesday).

"Krispy Kreme Doughnuts Fan Vote 2026" started in December 2025 as one of the anniversary projects for the 20th anniversary of its arrival in Japan. From over 1,000 types of doughnuts developed by KKDJ in Japan to date, 50 particularly popular items were nominated, and fans were invited to vote for their "favorite doughnut" through a special website, official social media, and in-store channels. Now, the top 5 items selected from over 80,000 total votes have been decided and will be re-released for a limited time starting May 27, 2026 (Wednesday).

The first place winner was "Mint Chocolate Cake." It received many requests for re-release, such as "I couldn't eat it at the time, so I want it to come back!" and "I want to try it because it's a unique doughnut!" It consistently maintained strong support from the start of the web voting and held the top spot until the end. Second place went to "Lotus Biscoff White Cream," which generated a huge response when it was released in 2020. Due to its popularity during the initial collaboration in 2020, collaborations were also held in 2023 and 2024. It also ranked second in the fan vote conducted in 2021, continuing to gather strong support. Third place was "Seal Custard," whose adorable appearance became a hot topic on social media. Fourth place was "Tiramisu Cream," and fifth place was "New York Cheesecake," with rich doughnuts offering an adult taste ranking among the top.

The five items selected by the wishes of many fans have diverse origins and backgrounds.
