Unknown Worlds Launches 'Subnautica 2' in Early Access!

KRAFTON JAPAN Co., Ltd. is pleased to announce that the early access version of the underwater adventure game 'Subnautica 2,' currently in development by the creative studio 'Unknown Worlds,' was released today, Friday, May 15th.

'Subnautica 2' surpassed a cumulative total of 1 million copies sold before its early access launch, just a few days after pre-purchases began this week. It also ranked #1 on Steam's global top-seller list in multiple countries and currently holds a 'Very Positive' rating from Steam user reviews.

'Subnautica 2' is the sequel to the 'Subnautica' series, which established the ocean survival genre and has sold over 18.5 million copies worldwide.

While inheriting the series' worldview, this title introduces a new alien planet, evolved visuals, and a new ecosystem. It also supports co-op play for up to four players for the first time in the series, allowing players to enjoy survival and exploration together.

'Subnautica 2' 5 Million Wishlists Achievement! Gift for Purchasers

To commemorate 'Subnautica 2' reaching 5 million wishlists on Steam, the previously announced limited-time distribution plan has been changed. All purchasers on all platforms will now receive the blueprint for the 'Reaper Leviathan Statue'.
