KPMG Japan (Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo; Co-Chairmen: Hiroyuki Yamada, Masahiko Chino) has announced the 10 ambassadors for the 'KPMG Junior Golf Ambassadors program,' launched to support junior golfers aiming for the world, and held an inauguration ceremony.
This program was initiated from a desire to strengthen KPMG Japan's support for golf competitions and to cheer on junior golfers who dream of playing on the world stage. A key feature is that it is not a one-off event but provides year-round support, with Yuka Saso, who is under contract with KPMG Japan, serving as a special advisor. The program will support the challenges of junior golfers who balance academics and athletics over multiple years through partial subsidies for competition expenses and various domestic and international events. With the cooperation of the Japan High School and Junior High School Golf Federation, recruitment began last October, and 10 ambassadors from 7th to 12th grade were selected after document screening and interviews.
At the inauguration ceremony, Hiroyuki Yamada, Co-Chairman of KPMG Japan, introduced the purpose and annual plan of the program. Katsushi Takahashi, Executive Director of the Japan High School and Junior High School Golf Federation, a cooperative partner, also offered words of encouragement to the ambassadors.
Furthermore, Yuka Saso and Keita Nakajima, both sponsored by KPMG Japan, sent the following messages: 'It was a great experience to talk to each of you during the interviews. I am very much looking forward to meeting you all soon. I hope you will enjoy playing golf in your upcoming matches and practices.' (Saso) 'Like you, I have been chasing my dreams since I was young, and I have been playing on the PGA Tour since this year. Let's work hard toward our dreams together. And let's liven up the golf world together.' (Nakajima)
Afterward, the ambassadors introduced themselves and shared their aspirations, and Masahiko Chino, Co-Chairman of KPMG Japan, presented each of them with a certificate.
The program will start in April 2026, and this fiscal year, events such as online sessions with Yuka Saso, golf training camps, training sessions, and external matches are planned throughout the year.
KPMG Japan will continue to contribute to the growth and education of youth through golf and to the development of the Japanese golf industry and sports sector by supporting the development of junior golfers.
