KPMG Japan (Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo; Co-Chairmen: Hiroyuki Yamada, Masahiko Chino) has announced 10 ambassadors for its 'KPMG Junior Golf Ambassadors program,' established to support junior golfers aiming for the world stage, and held an inauguration ceremony.
This program was initiated out of a desire to further strengthen KPMG Japan's support activities for the sport of golf and to cheer on junior golfers who dream of competing on the world stage. A major feature of the program is its year-round, long-term support for juniors, with pro golfer Yuka Saso, who has a contract with KPMG Japan, serving as a special advisor. The program will support the challenges of junior golfers who excel in both academics and sports over multiple years through partial funding for competition expenses and domestic and international events. With the cooperation of the Japan High School and Junior High School Golf Federation, recruitment began last October, and after a document screening and interviews, 10 ambassadors from the first year of junior high to the third year of high school were selected.
At the inauguration ceremony, KPMG Japan Co-Chairman Hiroyuki Yamada introduced the purpose and annual plan of the program. Additionally, Mr. Katsushi Takahashi, Executive Director of the partner organization, the Japan High School and Junior High School Golf Federation, offered words of encouragement to the ambassadors.
Furthermore, messages of support were received from Yuka Saso and Keita Nakajima, both sponsored by KPMG Japan.
“It was a great experience to speak with each of you during the interviews. I am very much looking forward to seeing you all soon. I hope you will enjoy playing golf in your upcoming matches and practices.” (Yuka Saso)
“Just like all of you, I have been challenging myself towards my dream since I was little, and this year I am playing on the PGA Tour. Let's work hard together towards our dreams. And let's liven up the golf world together.” (Keita Nakajima)
Afterward, the ambassadors introduced themselves and spoke of their aspirations, and each was awarded a certificate by KPMG Japan Co-Chairman Masahiko Chino.
The program will launch in April 2026, with plans for year-round events this fiscal year, including online events with Yuka Saso, golf training camps, training sessions, and external matches.
