Nicomo Co., Ltd. (President: Kouta Inukai / Headquarters: Bunkyo-ku, Tokyo / hereafter Nicomo) will hold the "Children's Safety Picture Book Award Sponsored by Sony Assurance", sponsored by Sony Assurance Inc. (President: Takayuki Suzuki / Headquarters: Ota-ku, Tokyo / hereafter Sony Assurance), starting from Monday, August 3, 2026.

All submitted picture books will be published and sold on the YOMO picture book site. *
Applications will be accepted from Monday, August 3, 2026, and the deadline is Monday, November 30, 2026.

The application theme is "Picture books related to children's daily safety". We look forward to your applications!
*Limited to works that meet the YOMO publication screening criteria.

[Application Guidelines]

Theme
"Picture books related to children's daily safety" targeting ages 4-8.
*Any story is acceptable as long as it relates to or brings to mind daily safety, such as traffic safety, disaster prevention, or crime prevention. Please think broadly.

Application Period
Monday, August 3, 2026 - Monday, November 30, 2026
*Applications via the YOMO site are accepted until 23:59 on November 30, 2026.
*In the case of postal mail, postmarks on the day are valid.

No qualifications required.

Eligible Works
Unpublished original works submitted to YOMO as an entry for the "Children's Safety Picture Book Award".
*Applications are limited to one work per person.
*Co-authored submissions are also possible.
*Works consisting of text only are not acceptable.

- Works that do not meet the regulations such as terms of use and sales guides posted on the YOMO site (hereinafter "YOMO Regulations") will be excluded from screening.
- We cannot accept corrections to works after they have been published and sales have started on the YOMO site.
- We will not respond to any questions or inquiries regarding the selection criteria and the selection process.
- Expenses incurred for application, such as postage when applying with original drawings and communication fees when connecting to the YOMO site, will be borne by the applicant.
- If a work is mailed, the organizers, operators, and related parties operating this contest, such as sponsoring companies (hereinafter "Organizers, etc."), will not bear any responsibility for loss, damage, etc. suffered during shipment.
- In the event of objections regarding copyright, etc. from a third party regarding a submitted work, the Organizers, etc. shall not bear any responsibility, and the applicant themselves shall bear all responsibility.
- If any problems are discovered after the announcement of the screening results, the award may be revoked.
- Dates are subject to change.
- Regarding the submitted works, the sponsoring company plans to introduce them to its policyholders through media handled by the sponsoring company, so you will be asked to grant permission for the use of the title of the work, the author's name, cover art, etc.

[Handling of Award-winning Works]
- Royalties at the time of the first edition publication of the Grand Prize-winning work are included in the prize money.
- The Organizer/Operator shall possess the publication rights for the winning works.
- We may ask you to partially change the work upon publication.
- We may issue and use the Grand Prize-winning work for the sponsoring company's purposes, including the sponsoring company's trademark.
- When publishing the Grand Prize-winning work, we may ask you to publish it with the sponsoring company's trademark included.
