In conjunction with this, the Company will begin recruiting monitor companies for a limited 10 locations starting April 1, 2026, offering the standing nap pod rental service with 'completely free' rental and initial fees, which would normally be incurred.

Japanese business professionals are known globally for their short sleep durations. The economic loss due to sleep deprivation is said to amount to approximately 15 trillion yen annually, with decreased concentration and worsening mental health becoming serious social issues.

In recent years, the recognition that short naps (power naps) contribute to productivity improvement has begun to spread, and more companies are considering nap environments in their offices. However, barriers such as 'no space to create dedicated private rooms,' 'high introduction costs,' and 'feeling uncomfortable lying down to rest due to others' gazes' have continued to hinder adoption.

Napping is not just a simple break; it is a 'strategic rest' to regain oneself and enhance subsequent performance. We propose a new resting environment to help working people continue to shine in their own way.

■ Standing Nap Pod Rental Service 'giraffebase'

'giraffebase' is a new rental service that allows the introduction of the standing nap pod 'giraffenap' into offices and vacant spaces in urban areas on a monthly subscription basis.

Its biggest feature is the newly standard-equipped 'reservation and payment functions.'

Until now, product purchase was the primary method of introduction, but in response to the voices of many companies saying, 'We want to introduce it with low initial investment' and 'We want to easily try it as an employee benefit,' we have prepared a rental plan that can be operated with only monthly usage fees.
