Nagaoka KOSEN Welcomes Mongolian Member to Regional Revitalization Corps

Nagaoka KOSEN (Nagaoka City, Niigata Prefecture, Principal: Akihiro Suzuki, hereafter "Nagaoka KOSEN") has appointed Mr. Myagmarjav Ulziibat from Mongolia as a NaDeC Coordinator (Innovation Promotion Supporter for the Nagaoka KOSEN Technical Cooperation Association) in the Nagaoka City Regional Revitalization Corps.

Mr. Ulziibat will work as part of the Regional Revitalization Corps associated with the Nagaoka KOSEN Technical Cooperation Association, supporting the Mongolian KOSEN Talent Utilization Project conducted in cooperation with Nagaoka City and the Nagaoka Industrial Vitalization Association (NAZE). This is the first time the Nagaoka KOSEN Technical Cooperation Association has accepted a member of the Regional Revitalization Corps.

Going forward, he will be responsible for designing and evaluating engineering education programs such as internships and OJT at local companies in Nagaoka, preparing environments for the acceptance, training, and retention of technical talent in regional companies, and handling international liaison tasks connecting Nagaoka companies with Mongolian educational institutions. By doing so, he will help build a system for human resource circulation that allows individuals to study and practice in Nagaoka and return that experience to Mongolia's industrial development.

◆ Overview of the Nagaoka KOSEN Technical Cooperation Association Regional Revitalization Corps

Based on the NaDeC initiative, Nagaoka City works with four universities, one technical college, and companies in the city to engage in industrial promotion and human resource development through industry-academia collaboration and entrepreneurial support. The newly appointed member of the Regional Revitalization Corps will act as a coordinator connecting Nagaoka KOSEN, Nagaoka City, NAZE, local companies, and Mongolian educational institutions and talent.

Main activities are as follows:
- Designing internships, OJT programs, teaching materials, and evaluation methods, focusing on machinery and manufacturing.
- Supporting the diagnosis of acceptance structures and job design for technical talent.
- Professional interpreting and translation in Mongolian, and bilingualizing training materials and technical documents.
- Supporting the construction of models for training, accepting, and retaining technical talent in regional companies, focusing on the manufacturing industry.
- International liaison, negotiation, information gathering, and public relations activities with Mongolian educational institutions, companies, and public agencies.

Nagaoka KOSEN has been collaborating with Mongolian technical college educational institutions and Nagaoka companies to foster technical talent and promote educational and technical exchanges. With the appointment of this Regional Revitalization Corps member, Nagaoka KOSEN will strengthen practical support systems connecting young Mongolian technical talent with Nagaoka companies, promoting education, industry, and international cooperation as a unified front.
