KONAMI and WBSC have now agreed to launch a new global championship, the 'WBSC eBaseball™ Series 2026,' with 'eBaseball™: PRO SPIRIT' as the official competition title, aiming to further promote and develop baseball culture worldwide.

'eBaseball™: PRO SPIRIT,' the new official title, launched distribution in March 2026. Compared to the previously adopted title 'WBSC eBaseball™: Powerful Pro Baseball,' available in 62 countries and regions, this new title expands distribution to approximately 200 countries and regions—more than triple the previous reach. Additionally, by offering basic gameplay for free, it creates an accessible environment for a broader range of players. These features have been highly evaluated, leading to its selection as the ideal title for global competitive deployment.

Furthermore, to promote community activation through esports, WBSC will provide a system enabling organizers of existing and new tournaments worldwide—of all scales—to host WBSC-sanctioned events.
