New 'eFootball™' Commercial Released Featuring Global Ambassadors Takefusa Kubo and Lionel Messi

Konami Digital Entertainment Co., Ltd. will sequentially broadcast the new 'eFootball™' commercials, 'JUST WATCHING?' Takefusa Kubo edition and Lionel Messi edition, starring the soccer game's ambassadors Takefusa Kubo and Lionel Messi, starting the night of Tuesday, June 9th on national TV stations and DAZN (excluding some regions). The new commercial video has also been released on the official 'eFootball™' YouTube channel.

The new commercial was produced to coincide with this summer, when soccer fever reaches its peak. With the commercial's concept of 'JUST WATCHING?' as the theme, it is a special commercial where ambassadors Takefusa Kubo and Lionel Messi encourage viewers to fight together in the soccer game 'eFootball™' as they face battles with the world.

Along with this, making-of videos from the commercial shoot and interview videos of Takefusa Kubo, Lionel Messi, as well as fellow ambassadors Neymar Jr., Lamine Yamal, and Keisuke Honda, have been released. Please pay attention to these valuable videos that can only be seen here.

The commercial shoots took place in different locations between December 2025 and January 2026, with Kubo's shoot occurring in Tokyo in December 2025. Takefusa Kubo, who appeared at the shooting location, responded to the director's directions, showing his professional side by displaying brilliant footwork and carefully checking the production details.

In a special interview, Takefusa Kubo spoke about engaging in sprint training over the past four years since the last tournament, resulting in an evolution in his speed. Furthermore, Keisuke Honda expressed his expectations for Kubo, stating, 'I think he is enjoying the pressure. The results will greatly influence the Japanese national team,' and regarding the team's chances of winning the tournament, he said, 'It's less than 10%, but nothing is impossible.' Messi and Neymar praised the Japanese national team, noting that they have 'grown significantly in recent years and are difficult opponents to defeat.'
