First Wave of 'Exciting Player Selection' Starts Today, May 28, in 'Professional Baseball Spirits A'

Konami Digital Entertainment Co., Ltd. announced that the first wave of the 'Exciting Player Selection' for the mobile game 'Professional Baseball Spirits A' (hereinafter 'Prospi A') begins today, Thursday, May 28, with the second wave starting on Thursday, June 4, at 15:00. Additionally, information regarding the 2026 season e-sports tournaments was released today. The 'Exciting Player Selection' is a scout event where players can acquire athletes from the 12 professional baseball teams featured in the 'Prospi A' showdown videos currently available on the official 'Pawapuro/Prospi' YouTube channel. The featured players are equipped with a special 'Heat' ability that converts the intensity of the game into power. The first wave, starting today, features 12 players including Taisei Makihara (Fukuoka SoftBank Hawks), Reyes (Hokkaido Nippon-Ham Fighters), Taisuke Yamaoka (Orix Buffaloes), Shota Morishita (Hanshin Tigers), Shugo Maki (Yokohama DeNA BayStars), and Yuta Izumiguchi (Yomiuri Giants). An 'Exciting Present' campaign is also underway, where players can acquire S-rank Exciting Players. All users who log in during the first wave will receive an 'S-rank Exciting Player Contract (Wave 1),' and those who log in during the second wave will receive an 'S-rank Exciting Player Contract (Wave 2).' Furthermore, 'Prospi A' e-sports tournaments will be held this year. The 'GEMSTONE Darvish Challenge Cup 2026 Season' (hereinafter 'Daruchare'), supervised by Yu Darvish, will be held from June to August, and the 'Prospi A Championship 2026 Season' (hereinafter 'Supichan'), which determines the No. 1 player, will be held from January to March 2027.
