KOKUYO HAKU, Attracting Over 24,000 Visitors in China Last Year, Returns in 2026 Across Four Cities: Shanghai, Chengdu, Dalian, and Shenzhen Starting August 21

Kokuyo Commercial (Shanghai) Co., Ltd., the Chinese subsidiary of Kokuyo Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Osaka City; President: Hidekuni Kuroda), will host 'KOKUYO HAKU (Kokuyo Hak)' from Friday, August 21 to Sunday, August 23, 2026—a three-day event in Shanghai, Chengdu, Dalian, and Shenzhen. The event, which attracted over 24,000 visitors across four Chinese cities last year, returns as a platform for experiencing the latest and trending stationery products.

Amid growing demand for self-expression via social media and other platforms, the premium stationery market is expanding. Kokuyo's stationery business aims to strengthen customer engagement and expand its reach not only across Japan but also globally.

Launched in Shanghai in 2018, 'KOKUYO HAKU' is an annual end-user-focused stationery event, marking its 7th edition this year (※). Last year, it was held for the first time in four cities, receiving high praise for the design and functionality of Japanese stationery, attracting over 24,000 visitors, primarily middle and high school students. This year, it will once again be held in the same four cities: Shanghai, Chengdu, Dalian, and Shenzhen.

This year's theme is 'CURIOUS MUSEUM'. Stationery is presented not merely as a tool but as something deeply connected to personal growth and student memories—akin to a museum that carefully preserves people's memories. Visitors can experience Kokuyo's design creativity, innovation, and brand heritage in a museum-like setting.

The event will welcome visitors with approximately 700 product items, including limited editions, pre-release items, and collaborative products with other brands.

(1) KOKUYO HAKU 2026 Limited-Edition Products

A special Key Visual Limited Set featuring four stationery items, including a notebook with this year’s key visual design, and a Half-Note Set combining Campus Notebooks and Gambol Notebooks with five different types of inner paper. Additionally, exclusive items available only at KOKUYO HAKU include a mini-sized Boston bag and a set of four notebooks themed on ukiyo-e prints.

(3) Additional Programs

To celebrate the pre-release of collaborative products with TYAKASHA, a designer brand based in Shanghai, workshops for making amulets and sling bags will be held. Other experiential programs include photo zones and stamp rallies for visitors to enjoy.
