Background "What kind of future do you envision for 2040, and what are you doing now to work toward it?" In an era of uncertainty, few people can answer this question immediately. However, globally, movements to envision future society through the lens of education are already accelerating. The OECD Education 2040 project brings together educators, researchers, policymakers, and students from various backgrounds across national borders to engage in dialogue and shape the future of society through education. There are practitioners in Japan who have participated in these dialogues, connecting with the world through field work, research, and policy. This workshop will share the full scope of these activities and the reality of international dialogue. Furthermore, it aims to provide an opportunity to move beyond mere understanding and identify concrete next actions. ■ Event Overview Event Name: [How to Navigate OECD Education 2040: A Complete Overview!] A Workshop to Design Japan in 2040 by Transcending the Past, Common Sense, and Borders — Speaking with the World — Date and Time: Sunday, March 29, 2026, 15:00–18:00 Format: Online Participation Fee: Free Organizer: Japan-OECD Joint Research Project "Executive Committee for the International Co-Creation Project to Design Japan and Education in 2040" Supported by: Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology (MEXT); Ministry of Foreign Affairs; Children and Families Agency Registration: https://kokusai-kyoso260329.peatix.com/ ■ Workshop Features ・Comprehensive Understanding of International Co-Creation Integrates previously separate initiatives to present the design philosophy and overall picture of the "International Co-Creation Month" in a digest format, allowing participants to grasp the connections between activities.
