Koikeya Co., Ltd. (President: Akira Sato) announced today, May 11, 2026 (Monday), the start of general applications for its factory tour "Koikeya GOGO! Factory (Chubu Factory)" at the Chubu Factory, which opened in Kaizu City, Gifu Prefecture in December 2025. In conjunction with the start of operations at the Chubu Factory, Koikeya's first production base in the Chubu area, preparations have been underway for the opening of "Koikeya GOGO! Factory" as part of an initiative to bring smiles to local communities. This tour allows visitors to experience Koikeya's history and commitment since its founding, while also making original potato chips. The Kyushu Aso Factory (Mashiki Town, Kumamoto Prefecture), which has already been conducting factory tours, has become a popular tour with applications far exceeding its capacity. With the reception system now in place at the Chubu Factory, general applications will finally begin on May 11, 2026 (Monday). At "Koikeya GOGO! Factory (Chubu Factory)", visitors will observe the potato chip production process inside the factory. To provide a more immersive experience, visitors can enter the actual manufacturing site and observe Koikeya product production lines up close. After the factory tour, visitors can enjoy tasting different potato chip cuts and production methods, such as flat, thick-cut, and kettle-cooked. They can also experience creating original flavors by combining 8 types of flavors, including ingredients unique to local Gifu. With custom packaging that allows for preferred designs and messages, visitors can enjoy making their own unique potato chips.
