The Kodomo Banpaku Executive Committee (Kodomo Candy Co., Ltd., Meta Osaka Co., Ltd.) held 'Kodomo Banpaku mini Nagoya,' an event to support children's dreams, at Aeon Mall Nagoya Noritake Garden (Nishi-ku, Nagoya City) on Friday, March 20, 2026 (public holiday). Approximately 1,000 people attended this event, which was held for the first time in Nagoya. 94% of children who participated in the job experience responded that they 'want to experience it again,' and 60% of parents said they 'felt a change in their children,' indicating a positive response to improving children's autonomy and self-esteem through experience. Project Background: Tackling Regional Issues through Collaboration with Local Businesses According to a survey by Nagoya City (*1), 75.6% of children aged 10 to 17 have high self-esteem (liking themselves), but negative responses increase among high school students, and it drops to 69.5% among young adults (18-39). On the other hand, 84% of elementary school students responded that they 'want to do something to improve their community or society.' This indicates a situation where children have aspirations but lose confidence as they grow, and opportunities for experience are lacking.
This first-time event in Nagoya was realized through collaboration with local businesses. Chuo Publishing Holdings Co., Ltd., headquartered in Nagoya and engaged in education business, participated as a partner company, offering the 'Today's Teacher is You!' English instructor experience, leveraging its experience in operating the English conversation school 'Peppy Kids Club.' In addition, Funk Kid, which operates a global dance studio based in Nagoya, was responsible for planning and operating the stage events, creating a performance venue where children could shine as protagonists.
Kodomo Banpaku aims to improve the self-esteem of children in the region by providing an experiential platform where children are the protagonists, 'discovering and supporting dreams.' *1: Nagoya City 'FY2023 Nagoya City Children, Youth, and Child-Rearing Families Awareness and Living Conditions Survey' (March 2024), 'Nagoya City Children and Youth Wakuwaku Plan 2029 (2nd Nagoya City Children and Youth Plan)' formulation materials, Creative Commons License Attribution 4.0 International 'Kodomo Banpaku mini Nagoya' Event Outline Event Name Kodomo Banpaku mini Nagoya Date & Time March 20, 2026 (Fri/Holiday) 10:00〜16:00 Venue Aeon Mall Nagoya Noritake Garden (3-1-17 Noritake Shinmachi, Nishi-ku, Nagoya City, Aichi Prefecture) ・1F Center Court ・2F Central North/Central South Area Organizer Kodomo Banpaku Executive Committee (Kodomo Candy Co., Ltd.・Meta Osaka Co., Ltd.)
