Holding the 'Hawaii Inquiry Summer Camp 2026' for Parents and Children to Learn Together
Kodomo edu International School (Location: 3-37-10 Kami-Meguro, Meguro-ku, Tokyo; Representative: Yoshimi Ueda), which operates an inquiry-based international school, is joining forces with the highly acclaimed Hanahau‘oli School in Honolulu, Hawaii—renowned for its inquiry-based learning—to hold the 'Hawaii Inquiry Summer Camp 2026' in July 2026. The program is aimed at educational institutions, parents, and children, and we are now accepting applications.
This program is an inquiry-based summer school set against the backdrop of nature and culture on Oahu, Hawaii, where children from Japan and Hawaii learn together.
Furthermore, this time, we will simultaneously host an educational workshop for parents and educators, observing the children's camp. We are proposing a new form of overseas camp where children and adults can learn together and share those experiences.
A New Learning Space Where Japanese and Hawaiian Inquiry Education Meet
This program offers a special learning opportunity that fuses Japanese inquiry-based education with American progressive education (inquiry learning) based in Hawaii.
What Kodomo edu values:
The Reggio Emilia Approach and Zen Philosophy
And what Hanahau‘oli has practiced for years:
World-class, child-centered inquiry education that prioritizes nature and culture
By multiplying these two educational values, children will not just "study" English, but experience thinking, feeling, and expressing themselves using English.
